Terms of service

1. Clients are allowed to book four (4) months, or more, in advance.  Avant-Garde reserves the right to periodically, semi-permanently or permanently lengthen or reduce the maximum amount of time in advance appointment may be reserved by clients at the sole discretion of Avant-Garde Body Piercing with or without providing any notice or reason.
2. Clients are allowed to reserve an appointment as late as 2 (two) hours prior to booking time.  Avant-Garde reserves the right to periodically, semi-permanently or permanently lengthen or reduce the minimum amount of time before a booking may be reserved by clients at it's sole discretion with or without notice or reason.
3. All appointment bookings require a fifty percent (50%) deposit to be accepted which may be paid in person at our store or online through our website https://agpiercing.com/pages/book-online.
   
4. Appointment deposits will be credited to the client's procedure fee when they arrive for their procedure.
5. All deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise expressly stated within these terms and conditions.
6. Clients who arrive ten (10) minutes late or more may, partially or fully, forfeit their appointment reservation time slot and their deposit.
7. Clients who fail to appear for their appointment, commonly called a "No Show" will be subject to a No-Show Cancelation Fee in the amount of 50% of their scheduled procedure.
8. Appointment bookings for 2 procedures or more AND/OR appointment bookings which require more than thirty (30) minutes may be required to pay additional deposit(s) to reserve additional appointment times in excess of thirty (30) minutes.
   
9. Client's are responsible for bringing legally required proof of age valid identification documents to their appointment.  Client's who fail to provide these documents may forfeit their appointment slot, deposit, or both.

10. Appointment deposits for procedures which are either unable to be performed or are elected to not be performed by the client or their parent/guardian due to, but not limited to, jewelry selection, piercing placement, use of topical numbing agents or other appointment conflicts will not be refunded.  (See Item 22 and Item 23 for more details on numbing agents)
    
11. Appointment bookings rescheduled within twenty-four (24) hours of their appointment time is permitted at no cost to Avant-Garde client(s).
12. Appointment bookings canceled within forty-eight (48) hours of their appointment time is permitted.
13. Appointment bookings canceled within forty-eight (48) hours of their appointment time shall be entitled to a full refund of their appointment deposit.
    
14. Appointment bookings may be canceled and/or rescheduled in any number of ways including:
    1. Utilizing the Cancel and Reschedule links contained within their appointment confirmation email.
    2. Through Chat message on here on our website.
    3. Calling our store at (414) 607-4068 during normal business hours.
    4. NOTE: Any other communication method may cause delays in processing your request in addition to potential deposit refunds, if applicable.  Do NOT send messages to our social media pages to modify or cancel your appointment(s).
15. Avant-Garde Body Piercing reserves the right to cancel any appointment booking at anytime with or without notice or reason.
    1. Appointment bookings canceled by Avant-Garde Body Piercing are eligible to have their deposit refunded in all circumstances.

16. Appointment bookings in need of a deposit refund may take up to 5-7 (five to seven) days to complete.

    1. If you have not received a deposit refund owed to you after 7 (seven) days, please contact Avant-Garde Body Piercing via phone at (414) 607-4068 during normal weekday business hours so we can investigate the issue.
17. Clients who continually reschedule their appointment booking(s) an excessive number of times (2 or more occurrences) may, in the sole determination of Avant-Garde Body Piercing LLC, risk forfeiting their deposit and be required to make an additional deposit(s) to reserve future appointment booking times.
18. Due to Piercer experience and availability some services may not be available at certain days and/or times. Clients may request all services at any time but services which all piercing staff cannot perform may be rescheduled without client consultation.
    1. Such rescheduled clients will be notified of the change via email.  If, the rescheduled date and/or time is not acceptable please reach out and contact us to reschedule the appointment for a date and time that is acceptable.
    2. Appointment bookings rescheduled for this reason will not be subject to the rescheduling restriction(s) listed in item 17.
19. Appointment bookings which have been declined should contact Avant-Garde via phone at (414) 607-4068 to ensure their next booking may be accepted.
20. All procedure prices displayed on Avant-Garde Body Piercing's website www.agpiercing.com are for the procedure only.  Jewelry, tax and any applicable fees are not included in the displayed price.

21. Avant-Garde Body Piercing reserves the right to change prices at it's sole discretion at anytime, for any reason, with or without notice.
    

    1. Any appointment made prior to the price change will be credited to reflect the price of the procedure at the day and time of the original booking.

22. Avant-Garde Body Piercing reserves the right to add, remove or adjust any fee(s) responsible to the client for booked services.

    1. For the most up to date and accurate information regarding any possible fees please call our store at (414) 607-4068 during normal business hours.

23. Due to any public health crisis, such as the COVID-19 public health crisis, Avant-Garde Body Piercing may at times, require the use of various forms of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by clients entering our facility.

    1. Additionally, Avant-Garde Body Piercing may limit or deny access to specific/all areas of our establishment to support person(s) and other non-essential person(s) wishing to accompany a client who is receiving a procedure.

    2. For the most up to date and accurate information regarding any possible public health crisis adjustments and/or restrictions at our facility, please call our store at (414) 607-4068 during normal business hours.
24. Due to individual staff medical needs, clients may be required to wear a mask while in our establishment.
    1. Clients who elect to not wear a mask may have their procedure performed by another piercer if one is available and/or have their appointment rescheduled to accommodate their request.
    2. Appointment bookings rescheduled for this reason will not be subject to the rescheduling restriction(s) listed in item 17.

25. Appointment date and times are displayed in relation to Avant-Garde Body Piercing's time zone of Central Daylight Time CDT (UTC/GMT -5) and Central Standard Time CST (UTC/GMT -6).

    1. Central Daylight Time CDT (UTC/GMT -5) is observed from approximately the middle of March through the beginning of November each year.
    2. Central Standard Time CST (UTC/GMT -6) is observed from January 1st (first) through the approximate middle of March and the approximate beginning of November through December 31st (thirty-first) of each year.
26. Avant-Garde Body Piercing always accepts walk-ins.
    1. Walk-ins are accepted on a first come, first served basis after all appropriate appointment bookings have been performed.
27. NUMBING AGENT USE: Some parents and clients choose to apply topical numbing agents to piercing sites prior to their appointments.  Please do NOT apply topical numbing agents without first contacting Avant-Garde Body Piercing AND contacting your primary care physician to ensure doing so is safe for you or your child.
28. NUMBING AGENT DISCLAIMER: Numbing agents can prevent Avant-Garde Body Piercing's piercers from placing piercings correctly due to tissue swelling as the skin absorbs the numbing agent.  For this reason Avant-Garde Body Piercing and the staff of Avant-Garde Body Piercing cannot guarantee proper placement or proper piercing angles for any piercing which has had numbing agents applied to the area within the previous 48 hours.

29. Appointment bookings for ear piercing procedures on persons under the age of three (3) years old, hereafter called "child", must be accompanied by two adults able and willing to restrain the child during the procedure for the safety of the child and our staff members.

    1. Avant-Garde Body Piercing reserves the right to determine, in its own judgement and those of our staff, that a child must be restrained for a procedure to be successful with children of ages in excess of 3 years old.   As in any situation regarding children, parents should exercise their best judgement regarding the health and well being of their children.
30. Any Procedure(s) requested of Avant-Garde Body Piercing which cannot be performed due to safety concerns for the piercee, Avant-Garde Body Piercing's staff or any other person involved in the procedure are not eligible for a refund.
31. Wisconsin State Law SPS 221.10(1)(c)1 prohibits the body piercing of any person who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or a mind-altering drug.  Any client who arrives for their appointment and appears to be under the influence of alcohol or any mind-altering drug may, at Avant-Garde Body Piercing's sole discretion, be denied services and forfeit their deposit.
32. Wisconsin State Law SPS 221.10(1)(c)2 prohibits the body piercing of any person who has evident skin lesions or skin infections in the area of the procedure.  Any client who arrives for their appointment with evident skin lesions or skin infections in the area of the proposed procedure may, at Avant-Garde Body Piercing's sole discretion, be denied services and forfeit their deposit.
